An Easter egg garland is a quick and easy way to brighten up your decor in preparation for the big easter egg hunt!
You can put this project together in about the same time it takes to eat a real easter egg… maybe with a coffee to go with it.
So take a seat and we will run through how to make your own garland from plastic eggs quickly and easily.
Why Make Your Own Easter Egg Garland
For a decoration like this I would usually just buy it and hang it up out of the box. But I just couldn’t find anything that I liked!
Everything that I could find was either too vintage, lacked color, or had bunnies on it instead of eggs.
It was only by taking the DIY route that I could get the bright colors that my kids wanted.
Lucky for me it is a very simple project to execute on, and didn’t take up much time.
How to Make a Plastic Easter Egg Garland
- Plastic Easter Eggs
- Cut out a piece of twine to your desired lengths, and test this out where you plan to eventually hang your finished garland.
- Put the needle and thread through each egg at the end where there should be two holes in your plastic eggs. This is the hardest step and requires a bit of precision threading.
- Tie off the end so that it holds your eggs in place and does not slip back off the twine.
- Hang up your new easter decoration in a place of your choosing.
Now you have a bright and festive addition to your household for this Easter.
It all takes about ten minutes of effort and it something you can pull out year after year.
