My Life of Travels and Adventures: 2014 - A Blog Year In Review - Recipe Style

2014 - A Blog Year In Review - Recipe Style

08 January 2015

I shared quite a few recipes here on the blog in 2014.

This was the year of make ahead breakfast options.  Starting with these Breakfast Omelet Muffins.  The Freezer Yogurt Pancakes saved me on many mornings when Reid was up too early for me to function.  I also made these Whole Wheat Mini DonutsBreakfast Cookies, and Breakfast Bars.
This year, I also made quite a few muffin recipes.  Again most of these were made and then frozen for Neil's lunches like these Blueberry Swirl Muffins.
These Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Muffins were a huge hit all around.
The Cinnamon Applesauce Muffins smelled so good when they were cooking (and tasted yummy too).  Reid loved the  Even More Chocolate Muffins (wonder why).  Neil was a big fan of the walnut topped Maple Walnut Banana Muffins.
These Pecan Pie Muffins make a perfect dessert option.  Apparently, we also like blueberry muffins, like these Blueberry Lemon Muffins or these Banana Blueberry Muffins.  A favorite all around were these French Toast Muffins.  They make another perfect make ahead breakfast option.
We are also big soup eaters.  I usually make a batch and then freeze the leftovers in individual servings for lunches.  This year we tried Buffalo Chicken Chili,  Chicken and Black Bean Soup and Anything Goes Chili.  One of Neil's favorite soups that I have been making for years is this Beef Stew.  The Chicken and Sausage Gumbo,  Basic Chicken Noodle Soup, and Chicken Pot Pie Stew also made there way into our tummy's a couple times.
This Veggie Chowder was a hit also.  I have been making this White Chicken Chili recipe for years.

Of course, we weren't lacking in the dessert category.  Banana Split Bars, Chocolate Cookies with a Caramel Center and Apple SnickerDoodles all were baked this year.
These Nilla Dippers are so easy and tasty.  These Caramel Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies Bars have a little bit of everything yummy in them.  Strawberry Cheesecake CupcakesCranberry Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies and Spiced Peach Cupcakes with Peach Frosting, just a few more dessert I made.
I only made one ice cream dessert last year, the S'mores Ice Cream Cake that I made for Neil's birthday.
I will finish out this round up with a few recipes that didn't fit into any of the above categories.  Buffalo Chicken FajitasGarlic Pull Apart Bread and these tasty Shrimp Poppers
If I counted correctly, I shared 47 recipes with you all this year.  Which I am pretty impressed with.  Who knew that I cooked quite that much.  Of course, I like the simple recipes most of which can be frozen and consumed later.  Perfect for busy days with a toddler.
