Last year, we had a Circle Tot School as well.  But I decided to come back around to circles with the focus more on writing and worksheets.  Over the next couple weeks we are transitioning from Tot School to Home Preschool.

For this tot tray we talked about the colors of the buttons and the size of the circles.

Reid still really likes using the Dot Markers and now is starting to take his time to line up with the circles more carefully.

Pretty self explanatory here, but I read the color to Reid and he picked out the proper crayon and colored the circle.

I have been working with Reid on how to properly hold a crayon/marker/etc.  So we used this worksheet to practice carefully tracing the circles.

Supplies:

I use these foam stickers to help with hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills.  It takes a little time and concentration to peel the backs off.

Another tracing sheet full of circles.  For the letters, I helped by holding the marker over Reid's hand and guiding him.
Supplies:
Large Coins
Numbered Paper

These green coins are from St. Patrick's Day but we used them to count and match numbers.
Supplies:

I cut circles out of clear contact paper then had Reid place tissue paper squares on them.  He kind of just tolerated this.
Supplies:

Reid is very hit or miss on the lacing cards.  This week was a miss.
Supplies:
Paper
Paper Towel Roll

I put a bit of paint on a paper plate, showed Reid how to dip the paper towel roll into it and stamp and thought this was going to be a hit.  It wasn't.  He did a couple circles and then was over it.
Supplies:
This was the hit.  He spent a lot of time on this tray threading the beads onto the pipe cleaners.
