In preparation for Valentine's Day, we spent the week focusing on all things hearts.... which lead to a lot of cute decorations around here!
Supplies: Heart Beads, Heart Erasers, Wooden Hearts, Red Wooden Toppers and Red Tulle
Reid had a blast stacking and matching the erasers from this sensory bin.

Supplies: White Paper, Foam Hearts and a Glue Stick
Reid was all about using the glue stick on his own.

Supplies: Heart Printables from Moms Have Questions Too and Crayons
Supplies: White Paper and Washi Tape
Supplies: Dot Markers and Printables from 3 Dinosaurs
Dot markers are a definite hit around here.  I was really surprised how well Reid has got at staying in the dots.

Supplies: Play Dough, Clear Sheet Protectors and Heart Printables from Moms Have Questions Too
Supplies: Heart Cutout from White Paper  and Foam Heart Stickers
This tray was also a hit.  I had to help Reid by removing the backing from the sticky hearts but he had a blast sticking them on.

Supplies: Contact Paper, Heart Cutouts from White Paper and Tissue Paper Squares
I love the look of this project.
It was a little harder to get him to just stick the paper on the contact sheet instead of wading the tissue paper into a tiny ball and then sticking it on.

Supplies: Lacing Shapes
Supplies: Foam HeartsPaint and Paint Brushes
I read several of these books to Reid each night.  His favorites... I Love you Through and Through and How Much I Love You.

At the end of the week, we had spent a good amount of time talking about hearts, love and all things Valentine's Day.

  1. Great activities! Question- I've been thinking of getting the dot markers, too, but I am wondering if my son is old enough. How old was he when you started using them?
