So way back at the beginning of September was Grandparents Day. Did you remember?
According to Neil, holidays like this are all made up by Hallmark. Which probably is somewhat true. I don't remember Grandparent's Day when I was younger. So who knows.
Anyway, about this year's Grandparent's Day...
I asked Reid what he wanted to do/make for his Grandparents. Since he is not really talking yet, and had no idea what I was talking about, I decided we would make picture frames.
I found these frames for less that $1. Score!
Next up I stripped Reid down and whipped up a batch of Edible Finger Paint, ie: Instant Vanilla Pudding and the fun began.
Yes, it was messy.
Big shout out to the clean up crew! Did you see my two helpers in the pictures above?
Reid had a lot of fun with this craft. Who doesn't love eating while working?
I let these dry overnight, then sprayed them with a glossy clear coat (twice).
I ordered a few recent pictures of the little guy and loaded them up.
I almost went with this pouty face picture but decided on an action shot instead!
So there you have it. Our super simple (and cheap) Grandparent's Day presents.
