My Life of Travels and Adventures: Oh, The Places I Have Pumped

Oh, The Places I Have Pumped

08 April 2013

It's been a while since we chatted about my boobs... So here we go again.

Now that I am done pumping, lets recap all the fun and exciting places that me and I breast pump have got intimate together.

 So without further ado...
  1. Home - Our first night home I broke out the pump around 1am.  It was a rough night.
  2. Work - After coming back to work I started pumping 3 times a day in the conference room.  Then I dropped done to 2 for a few months.  Then one pump for a week or two.  Now I am done pumping through the day.
  3. The Car - I have pumped in the car on the way back and forth to NY so many times it is ridiculous.  When Reid was little(r) I would feed him a bottle when he woke and then pump.  I also have pumped in the car while driving back and forth to NY, while driving back and forth from running errands on my lunch break.
  4. Hotel Rooms - When Neil & I went away overnight in September I pumped in our hotel room, when I traveled in December, January, February and March for work, I pumped in the hotel room.
  5. The Bathroom at a Black Tie Wedding - That was fun.  Not.  Actually, it was a really nice Country Club and I found a bathroom away from the hoopla and pumped.
  6. The Bathroom at a Casino - I was there for a work conference.  It was a nice bathroom.
  7. The Pancake House - While waitressing at the Pancake House during March & April, I would quickly make a little room for myself in the kitchen and pump.
  8. My Parents House - We were there a lot when Reid was just born.
  9. Hospital - I pumped in the ER room before we were admitted with Reid and in the lactation room when Reid was hospitalized for the Auto Immune Neutropenia.  I also pumped in a different hospital bathroom when I was there a work conference.
  10. Lactation Room at the Airport - I feel like these should be in every single airport.  Heaven! A full door that locked, a rocking chair and a sink.  So nice.

  3. Wow, you have pumped in a lot of places! It's awesome that the airport had a lactation room. More places should do that kind of thing.

  4. This post makes me laugh and shutter at the same time. I was determined to bf my first and for many reasons it didn't work. So then I was determined to give her whatever breast milk I could so I pumped and bottle fed her for 7 months. The pump and I have a love hate relationship. The two weirdest places I have pumped... Sitting on the toilet in a airport restroom. 2. On that same trip we lost power in the hotel so I pumped in the car in the parking deck of the hotel because I had a car charger. And yes I pumped in the car on many a road trip too :). Happy pumping.

Thanks for linking up to mommy Mondays

  6. That is a lot more than me! Isn't it fun to find places to pump. I was military and finding a quiet place to pump was very difficult. Not to mention pumping in uniform.

I'm a new follower from the Mom's Monday Mingle.

  7. I'm right there with ya for most of those. My favorite is in the car when I'm surveying properties for work. I always get a few strange looks if people happen to catch what I'm doing. I'm waiting to be questioned by the police, sadly.
