Toddling About At The Zoo

So as the Northeast was cleaning up from Winter Storm Nemo... we (Neil) brushed off the cars from our 1" of snow and headed out to the local zoo.

When I saw local, I mean... further away from the Philadelphia Zoo but smaller, zoo... Elmwood Park Zoo.
We have been a couple times over the summer when we had visitor's in town, but this is the first time that Reid actually showed some interest.

We started out by watching a fox sleep.  It did lift its head a couple times while we stood there, but man was it boring.
To a toddler, the boring part was the Momma trying to get him to look for pictures...
Yeah, the fox is still sleeping.
And Mommy is still taking pictures.
Are you beginning to see a pattern here?
Side Note: The little vest was so cute.
Eventually, after watching a fox sleep forever... I snapped the cutest picture ever!
Which was followed by more pointing and fox watching.
Eventually, we were able to persuade (carry) Reid away from the fox.

We hit up the monkey/reptile house next.
And for Aunt Kerrie, Reid posed with the Butterfly.
There were only a few other people at the zoo, so Reid had a grand ole time walking around on his own.
Wherever he wanted... including the mud.
Another Side Note:  Did you know the pathway at the zoo is the perfect spot to drop and do a pushup?
Fun was had by all.
Apparently, Reid & I talk Elk.  After some grunting and screams, the Elk came right down to us (and the water bucket).
We ended the day with more looking...
And a ride down the narrow slide.
Last time we were at the zoo Neil went through the Tunnel and jumped for Us!

Does anyone else love playing on kids toys as much as my husband?  Any funny pictures to share?
