Happy Feelings...

Within the past couple of weeks I have received several compliments on my weight loss. My mom, my mother-in-law, and several coworkers have all commented on my weight loss and how good I look. I don't really know how to reply... Thanks!... is all I have got. But it does make me feel good about myself.

Shopping

I needed some t-shirts and a new pair of jeans that actually fit. Thank goodness for Old Navy's Family & Friends Discount.

At Old Navy I got 5 t shirts (size X-large), 2 long sleeve shirts (size large) and 2 pairs of jeans (size 16 & 14). I also stopped at Ross for a pair of dress pants (size 14W) and a sweatshirt/jacket (size large).

I cannot believe that I fit in a size 14 pair of jeans. They actually fit nice too. No squeezing in my tummy or thighs. Such a happy day.

We are headed out for a bike ride in a little bit and then a long bike ride tomorrow morning, before finishing up our basement.

Just 10 more...

Today I weighed in at 195. Only 10 more pounds to go before my "vacation goal". I set a goal for myself earlier this month to try to reach 185lbs by vacation. Only 17 more days away. I am still striving for the 10lbs but know that it is probably unrealistic. We shall see.

The weather for Thurs-Mon looks good for biking. I am hoping to get in a couple longer bike rides and maybe a shorter/hilly one also.

Another Milestone

I am so happy... I have been in the 190's for almost a week. (The high 190's but heck, I'll take it.) These past days have been fun filled.

Thursday after work the hubby and I went for a bike ride on the Schukyll River Trail. We went about 10.1 miles out past Valley Forge and back. Well kind of... Around mile 16 (4 miles from our car) the hubby got a flat tire. Of course we did not carry a new tube and pump. Since we were not in the best neighborhood at dusk, I left him with a couple dollars for the pay phone and rode back to the car. The ride alone was different. It was the first time I have ever rode alone. About 1 miles in, it was getting pretty dark and I was completly alone and starting to freak myself out. I finally saw another biker far in front of me and made it my mission to catch up to them and stay within shouting distance behind them. Of course... nothing bad happened to me and I went to pick up the hubby and his flat. (We then went to Target for a mini pump and a couple extra tubes.)

Friday we went crabbing with the hubby's family. Quite a fun time. Together the 2 boats caught half a bushel of crabs. We took the pups up to see the crabs, but they had no interest.

Saturday I took our foster kittens to the vet, then our dogs for their shots, then we went for a bike ride (after we installed our new pump and tucked the extra tube in our pouch). We went about 12.5 miles on this ride.

Sunday was a work day. The basement is getting a remodel. We finished up our two new closets and framed the bench. I painted up a storm. The closets, the molding, the bench, more molding and some more molding. We ended up having to return a closet door to Home Depot since it was missing the track and get a replacement and some more white paint.

The plan for tonight is to work on the basement more since it is supposed to be raining. Actually, it is supposed to rain most of the week. But when it is nice out, I do plan on going for another long bike ride. So relaxing.

A Plan

So I have not been tracking my calories recently and the scale can tell. This weekend we went home to see my family... Talk about horrible eating: French Fries, Birthday cake, Taffy and several trips for Ice Cream. As a result of that I have not lost weight this past week, but I have not gained weight either. So I will consider this a victory.

We have been remodeling our basement (which puts a damper on my jogs - since the treadmill is covered in tools in the garage), so I have been slacking on working out.

I made a master plan for the next couple days... Tonight we are going to go for a bike ride. (Tomorrow is crabbing- so no major workout planned). Saturday... another bike ride. Sunday... hopefully a run and some Jillian Michael's (ugh i dislike her).

I also plan to track my calorie intake over the weekend and get back on track so hopefully I will be in the 190's consistently soon!

Waiting...

I feel like all I have done today is wait. I took my foster kittens and cat to an outreach, so hopefully one or more will get an applications. We shall wait.

While the kittens were at the outreach I planned on jogging a 5K around the neighbor hood. Well that didn't happen. I went for a bout a 10 minute walk/jog and couldn't do it. It wasn't that I was sore and couldn't physically make the run, but it was hot out. I have never jogged with my ipod and earphones (that was just weird and loud). I called it quit and came home.

Now, I am waiting for the hubby to get home from work. We are going to go on a bike ride. So at least I will get a decent workout in.

I have not been keeping track of my calories recently, but have been eating primarily the same food and serving size. I guess I am doing good... I am down another pound since my last post. I am feeling good about the weight loss and think I should be able to make my next mini goal by vacation.

I did it...

I made it to my first major weight loss goal. I have lost 31.5 lbs to date. I am really happy with my change from weight watchers to dailyplate.com. I stuck on the same weight with weight watchers for several weeks, all while following the program and staying with in my points. Dailyplate is so very similar to WW and free. It is easier while I am traveling to only remember the calorie counts.

So 15 weeks into my weight loss journey here are my stats:
  • Weight = Down 31.5 lbs
  • Waist = Down 6 inches
  • Hips = Down 4 inches
  • Thighs = Down 3.75 inches
  • Arms = Down 0.75 inches
I am excited about this goal. My next goal is 15lbs by the time I go on vacation in 6 weeks. That will be a hard one, but hopefully I can pull off some large numbers. Wish me luck!
