I started this book yesterday on my the flight home... I was four pages into the book when a women boarding the plane, told me it was such a good book but she couldn't finish it because it was so sad. So I geared myself up for some good tears. I finished the book while in waiting for Neil's surgery. Once I was taken back to see him the Nurse was recommending this book to another nurse. Small world.
Now about the book... Funny, Sad, Good. It is written through the voice of the family dog as the family grows and struggles. The dog's thoughts are funny and make you think... can my dogs really understand everything I say to them and what would they say back to me.
Overall, the book was good and I did not cry.
